Why does my product price change when I select options like font and paint colour?
All ecoCarve products are hand-finished by our craftsmen, and pricing reflects both the cost of selected finishing materials - fillers, paints and lacquers - and the time it takes to finish each product to a high standard. For example, Times New Roman font looks great, but it is more challenging to paint than Segoe Script or Arial. Similarly, a quality black background for a sign is more challenging than white, and gold or silver metallic paints for text are more challenging to work with than other colours.
We suggest you play around with options to see pricing, and consider ordering items unpainted and finishing them yourself if you're looking for a low cost option.
Where are products made?
All products are custom-carved at our workshop in Melbourne, Australia.
What payment methods can I use?
ecoCarve accepts Visa, MasterCard, Amex, PayPal, Apple Pay, GooglePay and Shopify Pay. No transaction fees are applied by ecoCarve.
How much is delivery?
Some ecoCarve products are heavy, and delivery costs are sensitive to weight. This unfortunately precludes a single flat delivery rate for Standard or Express Delivery.
Delivery charge is calculated at checkout based on the weight of your item(s) and your choice of Standard or Express Delivery. For all domestic orders under 5.0kg, a national rate is offered regardless of where you live in Australia. For larger domestic orders totalling more than 5.0kg, this calculation also includes distance.

Domestic and international delivery charges are automatically calculated to reflect and recover only the actual delivery cost incurred by ecoCarve.
Discounted (below cost) national delivery charges are also now offered for all domestic orders less than 5kg in total weight.
Normally I see a free delivery offer? Why don’t you offer free delivery?!
Delivery has a real cost. Free delivery offers build this cost into the price of goods, and free delivery is often used to encourage you to spend more. Customers wanting just one or two items then end-up subsidising those buying more. With lightweight items like clothing, delivery costs are not high so this is not a big deal, but for ecoCarve it would drive higher product prices.
Customer Collection
Customer Collection may be selected. In this case, products may be collected from the following Australia Post pick-up point during normal business hours:
Wattletree Road LPO, 283 Wattletree Road, Malvern East, Victoria 3145.
The total anticipated elapsed time from the day you order to the day you should anticipate your item(s) are available for collection is the Production Time, or 5 business days (usually 7 calendar days).
There is no Delivery Charge for customer-collected orders.

How long will it take for me to receive my order?
All items are custom-carved to your order. Please refer to the Delivery page of our website for guidance on likely delivery times.
Do you deliver overseas?
Yes, we are configured to deliver overseas with postage calculated as the actual cost to ecoCarve. Please note ecoCarve does not and cannot guarantee your products will be permitted entry to your country. All ecoCarve products contain natural wood. Please check import regulations in your country before placing an order.
Do you accept returns?
We are committed to providing a quality product. If you have any concerns with your items, please let us know. If these reflect issues we can rectify, we will rectify them, or provide a full refund. Given all ecoCarve products are custom-carved to order with your unique messages, we unfortunately cannot accept returns due solely to change of mind.
Can you carve images or do other special orders?
Yes we can! But the scope here is (beautifully) infinite, so it is hard to range options. A library of potential images is planned for 2020, but please just drop us a line if you have a great idea or your heart set on something specific to make the perfect gift. We will get back to you with a view on practicality, and where appropriate a quote and next steps.
Are products suitable for everyday use?
Coasters & Placemats are suitable for everyday use, but should NOT be run through a dishwasher. They are not dishwasher-proof given very high dishwasher temperatures. Just wipe down with a cloth and soapy water. Lacquered Coasters & Placemats are much more durable than bare wood ones, and much less liable to stain, but should still NEVER be run through a dishwasher.
Stools are suitable for everyday use. Again, just wipe down with a damp cloth to clean.
Painted & Lacquered Signs are designed to last outdoors, but signs selected with unpainted bare wood (background or text) options should NOT be mounted outdoors. Well, you can, but they won't last very long!
Inlaid Chopping Boards are intended for presentation-only. The ebony fill inlay provides much sharper contrast helping your message to stand-out, but neither the lacquer nor the inlay will survive daily use with sharp knives!
Bare Wood Chopping Boards can be used as normal, but please note both bare wood and inlaid chopping boards are NOT dishwasher-proof given very high dishwasher temperatures. They should be hand-washed in moderate temperatures or just wiped clean.
